RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION
We are committed to responsible production practices for all Mont items.
We prioritise and actively seek out partnerships with factories certified to the worldwide responsible accredited production standard (WRAP). Wherever possible, we select recycled fabrics, where they are the best choice for both durability and performance. Our production team is in constant communication with our factories visiting on a regular basis ensuring a hands-on approach to quality control and accountability in our production.
Sustainable Design principals
Our design priority is always function first; we consider how we can engineer something to perform to a high level first, then we move to the look of the garment choosing to produce items with a timeless aesthetic of our products and garments that will stand the test of time in more than one way.
Factory relationships
Our long standing relationships with our chosen factories are extremely important.
We partner with factories who are certified WRAP and have extremely high standards of quality control.
"Achieving a WRAP certification is a collaborative approach, working with facilities to ensure they remain in compliance with our 12 Principles. Facilities must be actively engaged, ensuring effective management systems are in place and demonstrating that they can and do fulfill their social compliance obligations."
All factories that Mont manufacture with, including WRAP certified factories, are inspected by our Production Team on a regular and ongoing basis.
Responsible Down StandardSupply chains
As of 2019, Mont Adventure Equipment is certified by the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). RDS certification ensures that the down in RDS labeled products is guaranteed to have been sourced in accordance with the Responsible Down Standard.
RDS is an independent, voluntary global standard that ensures down is not sourced via live plucking, that birds are not force fed & that a birds welfare is always upheld.

Current Mont down sleeping bags and garments that were manufactured before Mont's RDS certification are filled with down certified by the CFDIA. CFDIA certification ensures that down is not the product of live plucking & that birds are never force fed.
